National Apprenticeship Week

Celebrating Registered Apprenticeship:

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is an annual celebration during which partners and stakeholders across the country highlight the value and success of Registered Apprenticeship in developing a highly skilled workforce and strengthening the economy.

Previously observed each November, NAW transitioned to a spring celebration in 2026. The inaugural spring NAW, held April 26 through May 2, marked the largest observance to date, with more than 3,000 events and proclamations nationwide.

Since its establishment in 2022, the Kansas Office of Registered Apprenticeship has proudly participated in NAW. Each year, our team requests a proclamation from the governor to bring greater visibility to Registered Apprenticeship and hosts an annual summit where partners can share experiences, learn from best practices, and develop strategies to expand opportunities statewide.

National Apprenticeship Week Returns:

April 25 – May 1, 2027

Plan to join us for our fifth annual summit to explore and celebrate the impact of Kansas’ Registered Apprenticeship network. Attendees will hear directly from apprentices and sponsors who know the model firsthand and can engage with representatives from emerging and expanding industries, educational institutions, state and local government, and community organizations committed to advancing workforce solutions.

Follow along here and on KANSASWORKS social media channels for updates as we shape this year’s theme and craft an agenda that reflects growing apprenticeship trends, current workforce challenges, and the priorities that matter most to our partners.
